John Molloy
FOUNDING DIRECTOR
John Molloy began working in New Zealand’s produce sector in 1969, helping launch kiwifruit exports to Europe and Japan. He founded Molloy Farms in 1984 specialising in onion exports, pioneering innovations like ventilated containers and palletised bags. John’s passion for the industry and providing superior quality onions to our customers is unmatched. He remains involved in the business and enjoys staying in contact with our growers and customers.
Roger Buther
MANAGING DIRECTOR
Roger took ownership of Molloy Farms in 2022 and under the guidance of John Molloy has successfully taken over the reigns. Roger’s honesty, integrity and open communication style have allowed him to rapidly build trusting relationships with our growers and customers ensuring the founding mission and values of this family business are carried forward seamlessly as the company grows and evolves.
Bianca van Luijken
EXPORT & OPERATIONS MANAGER
Bianca joined Molloy Farms in January 2026 and has rapidly developed a passion for exporting. With a strong background in operations, she brings valuable experience to the team. Bianca is responsible for providing reliable and efficient export logistics to ensure our customers receive their export documentation and onions on time and in perfect condition
Michelle McPherson
FINANCE MANAGER
Michelle has over 25 years’ experience in finance, accounting, operations and logistics and has been a key part of the Molloy Farms team since 2016.
